About the Professor:

Professor Roosevelt received his A.B., summa cum laude, from Harvard University, and his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was a senior editor of the Yale Law Journal. After graduating from law school, he clerked for Judge Stephen F. Williams, United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and Justice David H. Souter of the United States Supreme Court. He also served as a Resident Fellow for the Yale Law School Information Society Project and practiced appellate litigation in Chicago for two years before joining the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. His articles have appeared in leading law reviews and have been cited by the United States Supreme Court and by other state and federal courts.
