FAQ

Q: If I purchase an "Audio" or "Video" download, can I later upgrade to the full product?

A: Yes and No. You may purchase an "Outlines/Questions" download of your product. All topics are available through our Products pages. Unfortunately, we cannot offer an upgrade from an audio or video purchase to the physical product.

Q: What are the system requirements for my computer?

A: Windows 98/Pentium II/64 MB or Windows 2000/Pentium III/128 MB or Windows XP/Pentium III/128 MB or Power Macintosh G# running OS 10.1.5/10.2.6/10.3 for DVD playback, 128 MB RAM or Power Macintosh G3/OS 9.2/64 MB RAM. QuickTime™ required.

Q: Do I need to have a specific program to view the video?

A: Yes. Your computer must have QuickTime installed, version 6 or later, to view the video. This program is available as a FREE download at www.apple.com/quicktime and will work on both MACs and PCs.

Q: How do I make the CD-ROM play on my computer?

A: To watch the video footage and to access the other interactive features, place the CD-ROM in your computer’s CD-ROM drive.

On a Macintosh, the CD-ROM will mount on your desktop. The CD-ROM will have a name such as "ILT_CIVPRO." Double click on the CD-ROM icon to open it. All of the files on the CD-ROM are contained in the window that opens. Double click on the file icon "START" to begin the program.

On a PC, the CD-ROM is set for AutoPlay. It will begin to play automatically. You do not need to do anything. If you exit the program and the CD-ROM is left in your computer, you do not have to eject it and insert it again. However, the CD-ROM does NOT mount on your desktop. To access the CD-ROM, open "My Computer." The name of the CD-ROM will be listed next to the drive containing it. For example, it may read "ILT_CIVPRO (E:)." This means that the CD-ROM is in the E drive. Now, there are THREE choices: (1) Double click on the CD-ROM icon, activating the AutoPlay file and launching the program; (2) Right click on the CD-ROM icon and choose "AutoPlay," activating the AutoPlay file and launching the program; (3) Right click on the CD-ROM icon and choose "Open," opening the contents of the CD-ROM in a new window; next, double click on the "START" file icon to launch the program.

Q: What do I do if, while watching the video, the audio and video are not in synchronization?

A: If the audio and video are not in synchronization, press the "play" button (several times, if needed) or push "pause" and then "play" and both elements should synchronize. There is nothing wrong with the product if this happens.
